TheSZ-12 Digital Camera(Black) is an impressive long-zoom camera that also happens to be budget-friendly. Without breaking the bank the SZ-12 gives you the power of 24x optical zoom, a 25mm wide-angle lens, dual image stabilization, and even a 3D photo mode. That means whether you’re shooting your kid’s sporting events or simply trying to fit everyone in the group into the shot the SZ-12 has you covered.

Of course, the SZ-12 also comes packed with a number of other useful features that go beyond mere function. The Magic Art Filters give you 12 special effects to put creativity into your photos and videos, with options like Punk, Pop Art, Fish Eye and more. The Beauty Mode improves portraits by softening shadows, smoothing out wrinkles and blemishes, and allowing for in-camera edits after the picture is taken.

As alluded to, the SZ-12 also captures video – 720p HD video to be exact. A one-touch button lets you record without having to navigate through menus and the HDMI output and control makes playing back your videos on the big screen (AKA: you’re HDTV) simple. Of course, you could also play them back on the spacious 3.0″ LCD on the back of your camera.

When it comes to specs, the SZ-12 has a number of respectable numbers and modes, including an ISO range of 80-1600, a shutter speed range of 1/1700-4 seconds, and two metering modes: Digital ESP and Spot. The 14Mp 1/2.3″ CCD image sensor works together with Samsung’s True Pic III+ image processor to create beautifully detailed images which look great, even when blown up to poster size. Additional technical highlights include noise reduction, a built-in flash, a self-timer, recording to SD/SDHC/SDXC memory cards, and much more.
