Enormously versatile zoom lens offering focal lengths from medium long to a full 3X telephoto Focuses down to a close 3.3ft at all focal lengths; a magnification ratio of 1:5 is possible at the 150mm focal length Well-corrected aberrations as well as Nikon Integrated Coating provides high contrast at every focal length from wide open to completely stopped down Single focusing/zoom ring assures superbly responsive operation – once in focus, always in focus Stops down to F/32 for additional depth of field Weight: 18oz. Uses optional HR-1 hood.

Manual focus telephoto zoom lens made for F-mount SLR cameras by Nikon. It was part of Nikon’s E-series of lenses intended for budget-conscious photographers and was Nikon’s first 75-150mm lens. Early versions have silver accents, later ones have black accents. The lens has the AI ridge and AI-S indent but lacks the bunny ear-metering prongs. It will meter properly on most manual Nikon SLRs, excluding the F, F2, and Nikkormat cameras. Metal body available in black.
