Often used in broadcast applications. Ground and mid-level spreaders are used for adding extra stability and to prevent accidentally knocking the tripod legs apart mid-shot.

The 165MV is a universal tripod spreader with variable diameter width controls from 80cm to 130cm. It accepts spiked tip tripods.
