Atomos Ninja TX Camera Monitor
The Atomos Ninja TX 5.2″ Camera to Cloud Monitor/Recorder comes packed with new features, while still aligned with the classic Ninja monitors.
Some new features packed into the Atomos NinjaTX include a brighter 1500 cd/m touchscreen display, 8K30 raw recording, recording to CFexpress Type B or USB-C, RF/Bluetooth timecode sync, a built-in NDI/HX3 license, and all codecs such as ProRes RAW/DNx/H.265, both 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 input/output, integrated Connect technology providing Wi-Fi connectivity for TX/RX streaming and direct upload. These enable you to vastly expand your recording capabilities.
Features
5.2″ Touchscreen Display
The Atomos Ninja TX 5.2″ Camera to Cloud Monitor/Recorder offers 1920 x 1080 resolution with a brighter 1500 cd/m display providing you a rich, accurate colour precision, even in broad daylight.
The 8/10-bit colour processing, HDR support, Rec. 709 colour gamut, and Calibrite ColorChecker Display Pro/Plus calibration support ensure colour-accurate, high-quality monitoring of your footage.
Updated Linux Operating System
Redesigned for the new Ninja TX, the AtomOS Linux operating system provides updated tools, a sleeker design, and more efficient, cooler operation.
Wireless Features
AtomX Connect features are now built into the monitor, providing expanded connectivity features.
With the built-in license, the Atomos Ninja TX 5.2″ Camera to Cloud Monitor/Recorder can be fully integrated into an NDI environment, either as an NDI source or as an NDI receiver, providing high-quality, low-bandwidth video. It also includes AirGlu timecode sync over RF or Bluetooth to sync all your cameras, audio recorders, and monitors, acting as a powerful timecode hub.
Camera to Cloud
Camera to Cloud (C2C) makes it possible for you to upload video files directly from the Ninja TX to the cloud. Other than previous models, the monitor features everything needed with C2C built in, supporting direct progressive upload to their own platform, ATOMOSphere, as well as Adobe Frame.io and Dropbox.
Comprehensive Colour and Metadata
The Ninja TX supports the use of select Sony, ARRI, JVC, RED, FUJIFILM, Nikon, Panasonic, and Canon log formats. Upload custom 3D LUTs to the monitor and output HDR conversion to Log, HLG, PQ, or Dolby Vision formats.
Via the HDMI input, you can record raw metadata such as white balance, exposure index, shutter speed/angle, Iris F stop, ISO, gamma, and gamut.
12G-SDI and HDMI Input/Output
The HDMI input on the Ninja TX 5.2″ Camera to Cloud Monitor/Recorder supports 8K video up to 30 fps, up to 4K60, and up to 1080p120. The incoming HDMI signal from the camera to another device, such as an external monitor, wireless transmitter or live streaming encoder, through a loop-through pass.
By Atomos adding 12G-SDI, a wider range of cameras and production workflows are supported. Further, the SDI ports also support look-through.
Recording/USB Features
Another enhancement is the CFexpress Type B slot, along with dual USB-C recording outputs support ultrafast data transfer rates based on PCIe and MVMe protocols that are designed for scalability and futureproofing.
In addition to recording directly to storage, the USB-C ports can also be used for calibration, custom 3D LUT uploads, adding audio devices, and firmware updates.
Power Options
On the rear of the Atomos Ninja TX 5.2″ Camera to Cloud Monitor/Recorder, you will find a L-series battery plate accepting NP-F L-series batteries. Alternatively, you can use an optional (not included) battery eliminator to provide DC power to the monitor.
Comprehensive Monitoring Tools
You will find a comprehensive suite of simple, one-touch monitoring tools for focus, framing, and exposure, including focus peaking, zoom (2:1, 1:1), zebras, false color (including ARRI and EL Zone), frame guides, SMPTE safe areas, grid markers, waveforms, RGB parade, vectorscope, and flexible 3D/1D LUT support with profile and preset options (including .cube file uploads). It also provides anamorphic de-squeeze monitoring to correct the ratio for anamorphic lens setups.
Control Options
The Atomos Ninja TX 5.2″ Camera to Cloud Monitor/Recorder features multifunction control buttons that work in tandem with a touchscreen for a more intuitive onboard control. Using Atomos Open Standard, an auto HDMI camera trigger is supported by Sony and Canon cameras. For supported cameras, SDI triggers are available as well. Bluetooth and RF-driven remote control via AirGlu. LANC control and calibration can be accessed using a separately available USB-C to serial connection cable
