Weighing in at only 3.5 lb including its battery, the ION measures only 7.5 x 4.4 x 3.3″ but is able to deliver hundreds or even thousands of full power flashes depending on the flash head in use. For example, Photogenic’s 1,000W/s PL1000DR gets 300 full power flashes on a fully charged battery while their AKC160 will get a whopping 2,050 flashes from the same battery. Photogenic doubles that capacity by including a spare battery but you can triple or quadruple your capacity by simply purchasing extra batteries which can be charged apart from the inverter.
