Profoto continually seeks new ways to enhance lighting, and the introduction of the Zoom Rod Small exemplifies this innovation by offering a versatile tool for achieving both softer and harder light with their RFi and Profoto series softboxes. The Zoom Rod Small, also compatible with the previously released Soft Zoom Reflectors, maintains its flexible design, providing control and precision. It enables photographers to achieve the exact lighting look they desire, whether using an optional heat-resistant Profoto softbox with or without a diffuser. The Zoom-In, Zoom-Out design allows for quick adjustments, transforming scenes by zooming in and out, and works with any Profoto flash head, whether flat-front or protruded. For optimal results, larger Octa and Rectangular softboxes from the RFi and Profoto series are recommended. The Zoom Rod Small expands light-shaping possibilities, creating any type of soft or hard light with an easy-to-use, lightweight design, and is compatible with various optional softboxes. However, it is important to note that the Zoom Rod Small is not for use with HMI or tungsten lights.
